Egg Rolls, Pearls, and our first Zoology Lesson

On Friday we learned more about China and had our first American Heritage Lesson in Zoology! We are learning about China for my six year old’s church Primary Development Goal and to prepare us to learn Mandarin Chinese as a family. The boys tasted egg rolls for the first time! My six year old hated them and my seven year old liked his with barbecue sauce. (I loved mine.) We watched some really fun homeschool videos about pearls and then the boys had a blast checking out mom’s collection of pearls.

We had our first American Heritage Lesson in Zoology and I just cannot say enough about how wonderful this curriculum is! It is all Christ-centered and ties everything to the gospel. We had a wonderful time learning together! This school makes homeschooling such a joy!

We have also added reciting our Gospel Standards each morning, before we start our school day. I love doing this with them!

We studied China for two weeks and today we are starting to learn about Italy! Look for fun photos tomorrow!
